**Sam Bankman-Fried Slams Biden, Praises Trump in Jailhouse Interview**

Sam Bankman-Fried criticized former President Joe Biden in a podcast interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, saying he became a major donor to Republicans in late 2022 because of the Biden administration's crackdown on the crypto industry.

The former FTX CEO, currently serving a 25-year sentence for fraud over the collapse of the crypto exchange, conducted the interview from "a little side room" at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center. He praised Trump's stance on crypto, which includes a pledge to make the U.S. the crypto capital of the world. Bankman-Fried said Trump promised "a lot of good things," and he's hopeful the president will follow through.

Bankman-Fried's parents have been seeking a pardon for him from President Donald Trump, Bloomberg earlier reported.
